First Tuesday each month · 12–1 PM ET

You don’t have to figure all of this out alone.

StudentOpus is a monthly, drop-in coaching space for college and conservatory music students: a place to talk honestly about your well-being, and how to let it support you with practicing, performing, confidence, burnout, schedules, the inner critic, tending fully to the human being behind the art.

Excellence over Perfection

Are you feeling like you’re always behind? Never feeling like the work is “good enough”? Like you would even KNOW what that meant?? Do you feel an immense amount of pressure to perform at your best, which leads you to exhaustive practice sessions and increased performance anxiety?

You may be falling into some unhelpful perfectionist tendencies. Come with something in mind, and I’ll be happy to help you shift into a healthier, happier way of working — without sacrificing your high standards.

A few good things to know

Real conversations. True problem-solving.

Do I have to be coached?

No. You’re welcome to bring a question, but you can also sit back, be part of the community and learn from your peers.

Do cameras have to be on?

Cameras on is highly encouraged because it helps the room feel connected in that sense of community. But you’re of course welcome to keep it off if that feels right to you.

Will I definitely get coached if I sign up?

Not necessarily. Depending on the size of the group and the flow of the conversation, I may not be able to coach every student individually. But, you’ll still be able to learn from the coaching, questions, and discussion happening in the room on our shared topic!

Is this a membership?

No. StudentOpus is completely drop-in. There’s no subscription and no ongoing commitment.

Come as you are. Bring what’s actually going on.

StudentOpus is here to make sure your artistry doesn’t come at the cost of your humanity, so you can thrive — on and off stage.
